Oregon Department of Corrections transitions to eSOPH to give investigators modern and more efficient case management tools.

Salem, OR.  On Tuesday, March 3, 2015, representatives from the Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC) executed a 12-month license agreement to use eSOPH, Miller Mendel’s background investigation software solution. The Oregon Department of Corrections is recruiting to fill numerous officer and staff vacancies. The DOC intends to process about 600 backgrounds using eSOPH, within 12-months. In previous years DOC has hired about 800 applicants, per year.

On behalf of the Oregon Department of Corrections, the eSOPH transition project was led by Lead Background Investigator Stephen Cox with assistance from Human Resources Assistant Director Christine Popoff, Human Resources Administrator Maggie Wollaston and General Services Manager Daryl Borello. As of March 3, 2015, the Oregon Department of Corrections is the first state agency to transition its pre-employment background investigation process to eSOPH.
